Step 1

Fill the heating tub (the one with the heater) with water, our logo marks where the fill line should be. The heater must be fully submerged with water in order to function properly. Always switch the heater off when changing or removing the water to avoid overheating. 

Step 2

After filling the tub with water, get the second container and put it inside the heating tub, so it floats on top of the water. You should see some water going up the sides of the tub. However, it should never overflow.

Step 3

Plug in the heater and let your incubator warm up. Check your temperatures every couple of hours. Adjust the temperature gauge until you have a steady temperature between 21-27°c, then you can put your items inside the incubator. 

Higher temperatures increase the chance of contamination, so do not exceed 27°c.

Step 4

When incubating colonising cakes, grains or agar. Put your incubator some place dark, a closet works perfect. 

When using the incubator for fruiting, put it somewhere that has a good amount of sunlight. Keep in mind you need lower temperatures for fruiting, aim to get between 21-25°c. Do not exceed 25°c

Tips for Maintaining

Every couple of day take the lid move it slightly so it leaves a slight crack for air to enter your incubator.

Over time sunlight can cause algae growth in the water, simply change out the water if this happens.
